Frequently asked questions regarding our digital salon's application process and critique methodology.
What is the club's selection criteria?
We seek artists who demonstrate an interest in technical development and mastery and a clear, original creative voice. Applications are reviewed and artists are granted access to the members area after completing the application form and uploading 1 to 3 artworks
How do critiques operate?
Private Consultations, Critiques and Reviews are undertaken within the clinic for those members who wish their work to be assessed against a standard critique format. This allows members to assess their progress as each work assessed in the clinic is given an Accreditation Score which is emailed to the member and sits outside of the members area.
Members can also join dedicated groups where group members can add more informal comment guidance and suggestions. Members can upload an image of their work in a much more informal way at any stage for review and constructive comment.
Are there limits to art uploads?
The gallery section is not live at present. However should sufficient members express a desire to have a gallery of their work then we will activate this section
Who provides the critique feedback?
Guidance and advice is provided by our member artists within the various groups as they are requested. The intention is to provide the following groups
(Watercolour, Pastel/Charcoal, Acrylic & Oils)
Feedback is peer-to-peer but moderated by our Founding Circle to ensure a rigorous yet respectful atmosphere of creative growth.
The Clinic Operates differently and artworks posted to the clinic using the standard form will receive an individual review against a standard assessment format. The artist requesting a consultation receivesa scored assessment to their inbox
