The tutorial and charcoal piece shown here are inspired by Skelton’s photographs and Wilson’s paintings, particularly those capturing the ferocious blizzard conditions they endured on the ice. Entitled Blizzard, this artwork is my tribute to those early pioneers of polar exploration.
